This years River City Ball has come and gone. Another year, another fantastic, fun dance competition! This was truly a success for the Portland chapter of USA Dance! This wonderful competition could not have taken place, not have been as successful as it is, not have run as smoothly, effortlessly, and problem free, had it not been for the dedication of our incredible, super-duper volunteers.

This is a big THANK YOU to ALL of you, those who volunteered to register the dancers, who sat throughout the comp at the snack bar/table, who kept the dancers in line/on time as deck captains, who made sure dancers complied with the dress code, took the cash, checked the admissions, made sure that the adjudicators were comforted. I can go on and on. It is the volunteer that makes for a successful organization host a successful event. Without them, all is lost, for naught.

Well done volunteer. Thank you.

URGENT – AUDITION OPPORTUNITY!!

AMERICA'S GOT TALENT SEEKING DANCERS TO AUDITION FOR NEXT SEASON IN 2010

America's Got Talent (NBC) has contacted USA Dance to provide audition talent for the upcoming auditions in

Los Angeles Jan 23-24
Dallas Jan 30-31
Orlando Feb 13-14
Atlanta Feb 20-21
Portland Feb 28 – March 1

IF INTERESTED, SEND YOUR RESPONSE NOW!

If you are interested in auditioning, please send us the following information immediately. The producers will provide preferential audition times for USA Dance couples that they pre-qualify.

Send:

Name of couple & ages
Audition City of choice
USA Dance Membership Number (must be current)
Complete contact information for both partners – email, cell phone, home phone, home mailing address *
Style & level danced (ex. Junior II Latin, Adult Am. Smooth Senior I etc)**
Video Link to your dancing (YouTube is best)
Label the youtube link with your last names/the dance/USADance
Send a photo of the dancers as a couple
Send a bio for both dancers as a couple

IMPORTANT – ALL information MUST BE sent in ONE EMAIL ONLY or it cannot be processed (no phone calls please)

*If under 18, must include complete contact information for parent/guardians

**You do not have to be a dancesport competitor to audition, just a USA Dance member.

THE USA DANCE ADVANTAGE – -

We will submit these auditions to America's Got Talent. They will review and contact dancers of interest directly and make all audition arrangements. If you audition through USA Dance and are pre-selected by America's Got Talent, you will not have to stand in the public lines to audition.
