Rain Dance

The Willamette Chapter of USA Dance is proudly announcing our first dance for 2009, one of four. It is scheduled for Saturday evening, April 11, at the Scottish Rite.

$20 Non-members
We will be showcasing many studios and their students during intermission of our dance. This will be in lieu of a lesson prior to the dance. We would like to promote as many studios who choose to participate, in highlighting their particular talents in a dance discipline, be it ballroom, latin, jazz, swing, performance group, etc. And in so doing, our dance guests will be treated not only to a fabulous showcase of talent, but will be exposed to much of what the metro area dance community has to offer. In addition, this dance event will also be accompanied by themed decorations as well as appetizers and desserts.
This is the first of what we plan to be a very successful year for USA Dance, Willamette Chapter. Let’s make this the best of what we, the dance community, has to offer our dance enthusiasts.

Yes! You read that correctly! There will be 41 free parking spaces available in the parking garage directly across the street from the Scottish Rite Temple under the Artists Repertory Theatre for our Rain Dance. As of the first of this month, the garage is back in the possession of Scottish Rite and they are giving us the parking spaces at no charge!
Please note: there are some spaces, however, that are marked clearly with “for Scottish Rite members only”. These spaces cannot be used! There will be a sign posted outside the entrance to the parking garage (which is on 16th Street) that says “Parking for USA Dance Only”. In addition, there is on-street parking as well as the DeLuxe Hotel parking garage at just $3.00 for the evening.
Where is the Rain dance going to be? I might be blind but I did not seee it listed on the web site…dave
